Definitely a Carolina. I have an adult female right now and she looks EXACTLY the same.

wow i didnt know they lived in maryland, thanks though, now i just need a male biut i dont think ill find one because of the fact that shes the only wild mantis i have seen in three years here.

The good news is that many wild females, when captured as adults, are already mated.
