I seemed to be plagued with a larger amount of females than males this year in particular. For my subadult Chinese mantids, I have a ratio of 7:4 and for P. medioconstricta 4:1. I might get lucky with my breeding style though (which involves watching the pair for a whole day)(very boring, but best way to make sure he is safe). Wish me luck (only for Chinese, Pnigomantids are only l4/l5.)
