I'm loking for ooths, nymphs or adults of the

Idolomantis diabolica and of the Hymenopus

coronatus. I have a few species to trade, or

will pay a fair price for either of these species.

Please pm me with details.

there is a post directly under yours concerning Idolomantis diabolica ootheca, you are not going to find the H.Coronatus for any

cheaper than that either. Most sought after mantids.

You're absolutely right - I'm just putting out feelers (and searching for any and all possible "dealers", worldwide) to see who has what, how much of a hurry they are in to sell, how much $...and to see if I get any affordable offers. Have heard back from one person, but is in UK where it's still very cold, so I don't want to risk the ooth's viability in the long, cold trip here. Bottom line is I am trying to locate breeders, get put on their first-call list...all the while really waiting for the heat to arrive here to make rearing the somewhat-difficult species much easier! I did write... is it man-ti?, asked for his price, and found he paid much more than expected. But I did write him again to say to not rule me out before all his nymphs are sold. If it's going to take a large sum to get viable ooths, then that's what I'll have to do... Idolo is most important, Orchids would just be a nice addition, but I hear they're very difficult... Thanks for the reality check, though, robelgado!

Haha sorry, was not trying to sound harsh at all.

Just trying to give you a headstart.

Every now and then you may find a breeder selling for a lower price due to different reasons (ooth is about to hatch, has many ooths, etc.) Prices have skyrocketed on these ootheca, Rick used to sell H.Coronatus ootheca for $30 a pop, now you may see them sell for 4 to 5 times that much, its all supply and demand :p

the fact of the matter is, there are very few breeders with those exotic species in the US, believe me, I looked for a very very long time

and finally got one H.Coronatus ooth. Should be hatching in 3-4 weeks

So good luck with your search, and I hope you find something!

No Problem - I appreciate any helpful comments. Good luck with your H. coronatus ooth...and don't be surprised if I am the first one to respond to a for sale ad on them from you, as I just know you will be successful with them!

Haha I will be sure to keep you in mind.

Im sure I will have plenty of extras, at a reasonable price.
