My giant asian shield mantis has been subadult for over 2 months now. Its wingbuds have bit thin for a while. However, as I have noticed with previous mantises I have had, when the wingbuds get swollen and have a blotchiness to them it will molt within a week and guess what my mantis is doing that right now. Can you guys tell me how long it took yours to molt once u noticed this?

 
Wait why would it take 2 weeks for it to molt if it is blotchy and wing buds are swollen isnt that too much? But thanks for congratulating my cute little guy!

I have a mantis that has had incredibly swollen wing buds for 2 weeks and still wont molt. I think it widely varies.
