I went to a friends summer house for a week expecting my mantids to survive with a very large meal before leaving and a daily mist that my older brother would provide.
All of them survived except my most valuable mantis, a Geomantis Larvoides that I caught in April. The first of its kind that I kept. It was only 0.16 inches or 0.4 centimeters in length when I found it. So you can say it was a pretty lucky find. Assuming that it was in L1 stage when I found it, it died after 4 molts and it's still pretty tiny.
It will now make company to my long gone female prosthesis M. Religiosa
