Back in July, I released a bunch of chinese mantids into my backyard. I also took a bunch of pictures, but have forgotten to post them until now. Enjoy!
When the put the lid down in the tomato bed, she just stood there.
Still not getting off.
Finally she got off the lid, and now she is under the tomato plant.
After 15 minutes, she finally climbed into the plant. I saw her there for the next couple of days.
Now for a different mantis:
I released this one onto an orange tree.
A chinese mantis on a crape myrtle :
She happened to catch a passing spider minutes after her release.
Thats all!
