Finally captured a large-ish mantis!

Not entirely sure what the species is, but it looks like a male. Found it hanging out between my screen door and sliding glass door this morning. I fed him a small grasshopper that I found outside. Seems to be a sub adult, it looks like his wings are starting to come in.









Any input on what species this is?

I agree with the species and that it's female. It's going to get bigger in its next final molt.

 
haha, thanks everyone! I thought it was male because of how slim it is, but I don't know much about it, so I'm glad to hear from more knowledgeable members!

 
Not sure what to feed this gal, though... Having a hard time finding large enough prey for her.

The species is Mantis religiosa. It is easily recognized by the black circles on the inside of the forearms. Sometimes the black circle surrounds a white circle, but other times it can be all black.
