First-time owner from the UK

Hello. I recently bought an L2 Orchid Mantis having been fascinated with mantids (and all insects) since childhood. I'm now 49 years old and studying for a BSc in Zoology as a mature student. Finally got my decent camera out to take a few feeding shots - my profile picture is of the mantis eating a fruit fly larva. I've had her for 3 weeks, she molted after 12 days. Looking forward to learning a lot from you all

We did! As we have a cat called Teg (short for 'Tegell', the Welsh word for kettle - she is black, and the pot calls the kettle...…) we called the mantis Meg (Meg the mantis).
