I have this one Limbata 4th instar that deformed its two hind legs during a molt. The legs are bent upwards and cannot grip. The center pair and raptoral legs work fine though. All and all the mantid is a good big size and seems healthy. What should I do about the deformed legs?

Thanks

I am not sure. Just make sure he doesn't have to wrestle down huge strong prey (hard to hold prey standing on only 2 legs), make sure the humidity is higher, and have him in a larger cage with better perches with better gripping ability to prevent further complications. You may have to hand feed him, and I wouldn't try breeding him unless his legs get better.

Nothing :) By next molt if all goes well it will be back to normal

Just give him/her a nice cage with a large bottom as it probably can't stay on the lid and keep feeding it. ;)

Good luck
