Hello,
My name is Michael Ponchot, I'm from Columbus, Ohio
& simply love Praying Mantis. Im now 34years old & a
graphic artist. I grew up living in the country around a lot
of Ohio cornfields & have a lot of great memory's of finding
Mantis's (and trying to raise them).
Last winter a friend of mine approached me to put some
ootheca's in my back yard to help him get some more
ootheca's for his new house in the fall. I set about 4 out
in the back yard in the wild & 3 on my back porch. When
one hatched on my back porch....I fell in love with them
all over again.
These were all Chinese Mantis's & I had a fantastic
summer raising them. I had a lot of success and even
more surprises along the way. I'll be sure to share a lot
more in the coming weeks since I have some fantastic
photos to show off. I did some library & web research
over the summer, but I just NOW found this forum. My
summer would have been sO much easier if I found you
all 1st, oh well. More soon,
