Whats up guys :) new to the forum and thought i could take some knowledge on caring for my mantids from it. Just got 2 baby African Blue-clawed mantids which i am hoping are going to be a breeding pair. Got them in a 2.5 gallon that i custom built a divider for half the tank and a top that holds humidity very nicely. Gonna post up pics as soon as i can :turned:

welcome to mantids! u might want to make sure that you have enough food in there to get their attention, they are generally not active hunters. Or you might want to get them into a smaller container whenever you feed them

EDIT: once they start moulting, 2.5 gallons is definitely small enough. Since they are 'babies' now, i really cant be sure :)

all the best

2.5 gallons are small, they will definetly be able to find food if you are using flies. Can put up a pic of the mantids and the tank?
