My new deli cups! Are they good for my orchids?

Made my new deli cups! I put mesh on all the sides and on the lid. Put a paper towel on bottom. Are the deli cups good? Also, in the third picture I didn't have enough mesh so I had to have a small gap in between the mesh on the sides. Will that matter at all or is it fine?

sorry I forgot to say that i feed my mantises outside of the cage so things escaping will not matter.

Btw but since the mesh is diamond shaped and not square shaped will that make it harder for the mantises to grip? When my mantises are on the mesh since the mesh diamonds are slanted it seems like it is not gripping as good. Is this going to be a problem?
