Orchid male not staying connected with female?

So my Orchid male just connected with my 6 week adult female, but he removed the connection after about five minutes and seems uninterested in continuing. The male is about 2 months old, do you think he might be too close to the end of his life to mate successfully?

Hmm. Depends how he is acting. If he is still moving quite nicely he should be able to mate. I’d feed him nicely give him some water then put him in another room away from the female for a few days. Then reintroduce him. This way the male isn’t constantly getting the pheromones and getting used to them. Best of luck!
