Hello everyone. My ghost mantis has been alone in her container for at least a couple months now since she ate her once potential mate. When I checked up on her today after work, I quickly noticed she had laid an ooth. I'm just curious, is it at all possible for the unfertilized eggs to hatch? I know there are some mantis species that don't require sexual reproduction. If not, is it too late for a male mantis to fertilize the ooth?

This is not one of the species that is parthenogenic. You will need to mate your female to get a fertile ooth.

Is it possible to fertilize the ooth after it has been laid? Also, would my mantis be able to lay a second ooth if mated with a male?
