Very interesting! Native? Or introduced (by some breeder... that would not be the best news)? Cheers

    For you Metal fans.......

What does it mean? Does it mean there are no "fallax" in captivity? Without any pictures that are not M. violaceus it seem all the rumors are only misidentifications. Female and male of Metallyticus violaceus Female and male of Metallyticus splendidus Cheers

    For you Metal fans.......

Hi, do you have adults yet and if there are pictures I really would like to see them. Thanks!!!

    For you Metal fans.......

It is simple. Some people say they have M. fallax and at least one person wrote that he will post pictures (is this the headache and the long list of inquiries?). And I am just asking if the promised pictures are available now. I know that IGM stock 160 Metallyticus violaceus was misidentified...

    For you Metal fans.......

    For you Metal fans.......

There are only two Metallyticus species bred in captivity. M. splendidus and M. violaceus (this was previously misidentified as M. fallax). Good luck with them.

Hi, The genus with the curved pronotum is Toxodera. The one with the very slim pronotum is Stenotoxodera. The one witht the straight pronotum is Paratoxodera. With the article that Yen sent it will be possible for you to id the species (if you need help please tell me). For sexing them...

Master species list, with good color pics?

The "old" Mantodea picture database was transferred and is still under construction. You can try it here: http://www.terra-typica.ch/services/species-datenbank.html Pictures of more than 200 Mantodea species (about 10% of the species that are described) and we have to upload a lot more.

It is Antemna rapax, should be a female nymph. The picture of the adult female was posted in this topic.
