Yeah, so that means your spot-method isn't accurate...

Are you sure? I have 2 C. apicalis from the same mother, but the first has 2 spots in her eye, the second has 1 spot in her eye.

Why C. gemmatus and not another (for example C. apicalis or C. pictipennis)? The why's can make this topic more usefull I think.

Funny. Maybe it's to soon after molting? Or have they eaten something else already?
