    Too Late?

Well I think it's time to accept the fact that both packages are gone... gone... gone. Total dud. Now I wonder what time NEXT YEAR I should order these to finally get something to hatch. Maybe I"ll set up a small aquarium to grow Mantids in on the inside as well, so I don't have to re-purchase...

    Too Late?

Still no luck, and to make things worse, I have cucumber beetles actually crawling right by one of the eggs! Unbelievable the nerve...

    Do Mantids kill slugs?

Well I bought one slug-trap, and it's caught quite a few near my tomatoes. Looks like I"ll be buying a few more because those guys are killing all my other vegetables this year :(

Where can i find a praying mantis

I never understood why, by the laws of nature, mantids wouldn't just show up in numbers when ever there were pests growing out of control. Nature dictates the predators should spawn like crazy during these infestations.

    Too Late?

Hmm, well I ordered these a few weeks ago, and they came within 48 hours. I figured I was ordering them a bit late, but the company still shipped them so I guess there was hope. The instructions said something like up to 8 weeks, but since it's not early spring anymore that is worrying me. I...

    Too Late?

I guess they are chinese since they came from a hardware store. Does this mean they will die, or simply hatch next year instead maybe? I guess there's no return policy on them either, I don't remember reading that.

    Too Late?

Is it too late to hatch? It's been weeks now it seems, and my egg inside the house and other in the garden seems to have had NOTHING hatch from them. Since it's august now, does that mean nothing is going to happen at all now?

    Do Mantids kill slugs?

Hmm, I guess then I'll be making lots of SLUG-BAIT-REFIL trips to the stores for my slug-traps.

    Do Mantids kill slugs?

It seems Mantids are supposed to be the ultimate predator for a garden, but I'm wondering about slugs. Would they really pounce on these thick & slimy things as well? I don't remember those ever been specifically mentioned.

    Newbie here

Yeah, I was worried I may be ordering late. That's why they sent me 2 eggs I guess, they were afraid none of them would hatch at this time? Sadly, it's been weeks now and not one simple Mantis has shown up. I guess I'm sunk for the year?

    Newbie here

If worse comes to worse I can always pollinate by hand so that's not my worries. I just need to stop everything from eating all my leaves full of holes and killing my plants.

    Newbie here

Well, I was more of asking a question rather than making an introduction "if it was ok to just tie the eggs to a corn-stalk 3 feet off the ground?" There actually is another question now I am wondering about. I thought a Mantis was a mantis was a mantis, but I guess there are different variants...

    Newbie here

I recently ordered some Mantis eggs, because I was sick and tired of losing all my garden plants to beetles, etc. I was supposed to get one sac, with 40-400 offspring, but I got 2 sacs when my package arrived. I'm rather new to this, but I image it's ok to breed one sac inside my house as an...
