Well it hatched, but not many babies came out... and they all ended up dieing. But I was warned that they are difficult, and that the Chinese are much more hardy and easier to hatch.... So I hope so.

Just got three Chinese ooths... I am very excited.... I hope I have much better luck with these ooths than my Euro one last year!

Wow, s/he is already larger than I imagined a grass mantid to be!!! Must be only one molt to go!

Do you think there are any more molts in store, or do you think s/he is full grown now?

I have him in a Exo Terra nano terrarium tall... It is 8 by 8 by 12.... There is leaf litter orchid bark and some driftwood..... I would say he is about an inch and 1/2...

So you wouldn't say they were as communal as the ghost mantids?

So are these mantids able to be housed together? Are they aggresive?

Is it true that these mantids can be housed together and are non aggressive?

What instar do you think s/he is in?

Okay... I am seeing it... they are real close looking to me though...Either way... I was very glad to find him, and have been feeding him hydei and pinheads, and he is so cute.

My other choices were Carolina and grass-like, but it looks the most like Bruner to me...
