Wings=adult. If there are no wings, your mantis has some more molting to do!

Wow, s/he is already larger than I imagined a grass mantid to be!!! Must be only one molt to go!

Adult female Thesprotia graminis has no wing. If your mantis is longer than two and a half inches it is likely an adult. Adult male of this species has wing, if you see wing bud with longer antennae it is a male instead.
