hmm.. there's this guy from malaysia, on another forum (i'm trying to contact) that posted a thread about him finding three moss mantids. i just went by his location, so, i assumed they were from malaysia.. if that is the case & he is willing to sell them, would it be ideal to try it out...

if we can get malaysian orchid mantids in the US, how can we not get moss mantids from malaysia? lol. i hope someone from malaysia on the site, stumbles upon this thread & offers to sell me a moss mantis.

i want a moss mantis, very much.. does anyone have or know where to buy them? i can't find a place that sells them, i googled for hours.. no luck!

he/she molted this morning! i'm still wondering, exactly, what species he/she is.. a couple of people have said it's a stagmomantis carolina? anyway, he/she just got the "full wings" today. they're really dark, almost black... here are some pictures! here are some after molt...

he was fully green & after he molted, he was still green. then, he started getting a little brownish in some areas. now, he looks like he blends in with the branch/stick i put in there. the branch/stick is sort of dying out & now he somehow, matches it?

HE/SHE MOLTED WITHOUT ME! i wanted to see this happen, LIVE!! sucks, i couldn't. apparently, while i was taking a little nap.. he/she decided to molt! i slept for about 3 hours... when can i pick him/her up again?

hahaha! he has a way up, he just tried to jump up this time. lol! but, you're right. i should make more possible ways up there.

yeah, that's the last time i feed him/her crickets. they're just all over my steps & readily available, flies are harder to catch; sometimes. i'm housing him/her in a plastic container. i'm not sure what it was before, i just found it in storage & it was cool because it opens &amp...

my mantis tried jumping to the top. not really a photo, but, it's funny.
