    both male and female have been adult for about a month and a half , no ooths laid as of yet , hoping to try and breed them soon if she is actually calling.

    Agreed! I don't know if anyone else here has noticed this , but the female seems to make quite a loud hissing noise with her wings when she sways during her threat display, I'd get a video but I doubt the noise would be picked up

    no idea haha , I'll try out a shot on my windowsill and see if I can get a better one , the inside lining of his wingsheaths are a nice vivid red now , hopefully I can get a decent picture

    Was she wild caught? my female is probably the calmest mantid I've owned , hasn't threat displayed in all her life. my male even used to play dead :lol:

    If I take about 5 minutes coaxing him out he wont display but usually he'll do it every other time , then calm down. my female is the complete opposite

    cheers! I can't seem to catch all the different colours in the spot , it has a kind of pearlescent rainbow look to it.

    At least you got yours joined , I tried breeding congos a few months ago and got absolutely nothing! was it fairly easy to get the two to join ?

    My female has recently moulted to adult , and my male is due to follow in the next couple of days , so in about 6-8 weeks I'm really hoping to breed there. ANYTHING would be helpful , thanks in advance ! :D
