Sphodromantis lineola (Maude) enjoying a fly

Yeah my lineola females were all brown or brownish as nymphs. Dunno if any of the ones I sold that were green stayed green. All males that I got left turned green, 2 more to go, 1 is molting right now a d 1 is brown sub adult. There is one green sub adult female I am waiting to see how she does...

    Three months in...first impressions.

Hahaha great post :D  especially Michel's flying adventure... I have a male sphodromantis viridis who is like that. Likes to fly onto my face the most :D   Max should be pretty good at flying once he gets his wings, these guys are pretty lean and light :)

Maude molted to adult - yay!

Beautiful girl! Lineolas are so cool, because they are ferocious hunters but really laid back in contact with humans (except one of my babies who is cranky af and ran inside of a drawer yesterday lol) and easy to care for... Plus many colour variations in the nymphs at least, I got yellow...

    Is she gonna molt ?

Try to put her somewhere secluded so she is not afraid to molt. Although my lineolas are molting like crazy day or night... But when I had just two they always did it at night undisturbed

    The Mantis 'Wobble'

Some of mine do it too when feeding ;)  different types of wobble... Some is slower when they come to get the prey, quicker and more "excited like" when I hand feed them or give them honey, then a different type when they are about to fly or jump :D  and crazy me does the wobble with them...

    Mantis obsession :)

News in my mantids: Sold like more than half of the nymphs but still  got quite a lot on my plate. My friend offered to sell some for me so I really hope it will work.  I bred Dessicatas, Popas and Majusculas, still hoping for the Truncatas to be able to breed. The male Decimiana tesselata I...
