He looks good to be honest. As long as the only thing deformed are legs (and not raptors) it should be fixed during the next molt anyway. If this happens again, try and get the mantis to hang from something, not rest on the ground. This is just its natural molt and dry position.

You should get a hygrometer in the terrarium and this way you can tell how much you need to mist the substrate. There is no exact formula or method that works in all situations. Experiment, i.e. trial-and-error, and its hard to do that without a hygrometer....

I feed some of my mantids every day and they molt quick because of that. My beloved lineola went from L2 to adult (L8 or L9 I think) in just over 7 weeks! She ate like a little piggy....

How many ooths does an adult Brunners Mantis lay in her lifetime? Also how many for a chinese mantis? Any idea? I know each species is different.... Just checked my Brunner's cage; she's up to 5 so far.

Sorry to hear that. It must have been the vomit usually described as black/brown and was a digestive issue. I just had my favorite manits die due to another type of digestive problem (ie terminal indigestion). 

That's normal and healthy. The tarsus makes contact with whatever surface its climbing  and there is a fluid exchange. That just means its a healthy mantis. When they get older they don't stick as well....

I have ghosts and they take about that long. I dont know for Violins specifically but some species take about 2 months for the final molt. Keep it well fed and the right humidity and it will happen. Oh, I remember hearing they like high temperatures. Maybe your temperature is lower? That and...

RIP Lin (S. lineola). My first mantis and first to reach adulthood passed the other day. So sad, we miss her! She lived 6 months in total--a little nicer 5 with me. (I had her since an L2). RIP My sweetest pet and good friend....   The gruesome details...

In my experience, red vomit with little to no smell (or sometimes a bit pungent) is from eating too many fruit flies. Try feeding a bit less and see if that helps, but its not really something to worry about. Its actually the real consequence of overeating if you'd ever wondered about that.

She does not. She's very healthy otherwise, The only weird thing I've seen her do: go into a threat pose for no reason, fall backward, and then run around her cage at an alarming pace.  She has always seemed a little 'off' or 'slow,' but never aggressive towards people or even that much towards...

Not a good idea. Praying mantises will attack just about anything. I don't have any experience with stick bugs, but even if it doesn't pose a threat to the mantid, the mantid may pose a threat to it. Look at all the Youtube videos of a mantis fighting all types of insects, some more than twice...
