    Hercules Moth, Coscinocera hercules, male

Great photos! I'm hoping to see the Hercules someday. I eclosed mittrei and atlas years ago and still find reason to pop open the silkmoth rearer's handbook now and then. More focused on the little non-descript moths in my own backyard lately and for the next few years probably, but always great...

    Aryia

I asked for some mantises and they were delivered within 24 hours in perfect condition. What could be better than that? Thanks Aryia!

    finaly found my beetle

I never miss stopping at a gas station in a rural area or a rest stop. Great places to catch bugs! She probably going to drop some eggs for you if you put her down on dirt too.

    Vlodek

Vlodek is a cornerstone of this entire hobby. Every transaction I do with him is spot on. I hope he sticks around forever!

    Marston the Pumpkin Patch Tarantula

Pretty! I have a fluctuating number of tarantulas but my only personal pet one is a Cyriocosmus ritae whose colors are very similar to yours. But it is more of a dwarf species.

    Can anyone ID this critter?

He can give you a good little bite if he gets the chance. The different coloration, as with mantises, may indicate a pending molt. I'd guess genus as Zelus.

I had to scroll down the link some to find that Floridobolus orini. Congrats Orin! You earned it!

    ID help

I see gnaphosids like this inside my house each fall. Occasionally there is one with whitish markings that's quite striking.

    Bartek

Bartek is a known exporter of mantises from Poland to other countries. Mantidforum does not condone importation of mantises into the USA and we want to warn our members that we do not allow US members to post feedback about their importation of mantises into the US unless they have the permits...

How do you identify your specimens? I have a lot of trouble with flies.

    Aryia

If Aryia's passion for the hobby is an indication, her recent shipment to me is nothing short of confirmation that her talents as a breeder and seller will take her far in this hobby. I'm very grateful for this first transaction.

    Cockroaches of the United States

Neat blog! On roachforum my avatar is of a species I photographed in Hawaii. I do catch Parcoblatta americana here in Oregon each summer. Last April I collected Arenivaga in AZ.

    Dragons?

I've had these before. I'm not sure if they still are, but they used to be imported to the pet hobby from time to time. They are as cool as they look.

    ID

I may be in Mexico in March. Did YOU photograph this in Mexico? If so, what part? We North Americans love to see this on the continent! See any other interesting bugs?
