I never miss stopping at a gas station in a rural area or a rest stop. Great places to catch bugs! She probably going to drop some eggs for you if you put her down on dirt too.

Pretty! I have a fluctuating number of tarantulas but my only personal pet one is a Cyriocosmus ritae whose colors are very similar to yours. But it is more of a dwarf species.

He can give you a good little bite if he gets the chance. The different coloration, as with mantises, may indicate a pending molt. I'd guess genus as Zelus.

I see gnaphosids like this inside my house each fall. Occasionally there is one with whitish markings that's quite striking.

Neat blog! On roachforum my avatar is of a species I photographed in Hawaii. I do catch Parcoblatta americana here in Oregon each summer. Last April I collected Arenivaga in AZ.

I've had these before. I'm not sure if they still are, but they used to be imported to the pet hobby from time to time. They are as cool as they look.

I may be in Mexico in March. Did YOU photograph this in Mexico? If so, what part? We North Americans love to see this on the continent! See any other interesting bugs?
