Personally I go with either Bugsincyberspace or Mantisplace for all of my feeder needs. My FF come from Bugsincyberspace and my pupae come from Mantisplace. What size/number of mantis(es) do you have?

Like others have mentioned, ants are aggressive and will turn on your mantises. If you have absolutely no flies, try giving them some honey or banana for a few days until you're able to get some more food for them. Honey and bananas won't sustain them forever and I only use them for emergencies...

I had a L2 nymph who was missing his whole leg and he regrew it with his next molt. He'll be fine, he has plenty of molts especially because he's still so small  :)

@Chalc That's why I behead my mealworms first, just so they don't nip at my little guys. I've never tried to feed them a beetle though, but I've heard they make a smell when they're disturbed :/

Same--I've never had a grey hairy mealworm and I wouldn't take the risk.
