Welcome home, mantis 1 and mantis 2

Nymphs are way more skidding than adults. It honestly depends on the species. Some mantises will run, some will do threat displays, and some will use camouflage (but we see them) haha.

    Are these fruit fly pupae?

How big is your mantis? Is it’s abdomen plump, or is t skinny? if you have to cut the wax worm in small pieces. Place a piece on the tip of a toothpick and place it carefully at the mantises mouth, it should eat it and hopefully grab onto it.

Nah it’s easy! I promise you it is. The only thing kinda hard is feeding the females. When they are adults bbf are too small so I would feed mine super worms.

Nah the the true monsters are female sphrodomantis gastricas. I’ve had a few females grab on to my finger and try to eat me for a snack. It hurt like crazy and I had to get my dad to help me pry a few off of me!

    Are these fruit fly pupae?

It depends if it’s old pupae from the earlier part of the culture. If that’s fresh pupae it will hatch soon. Is there any fly media left in the cup? You should see maggots squirming around the top of he media and know if there is more to come.

It was a Nano tall. I hatched a few orchid ooths and always had males. I’ve never had females to continue breeding. Males are too tiny for me. I’ve always wanted a female cause of the size.
