Going to share my pics of isopod pics here :)   Unidentified species from Fishing Pier near Dauphin Island, AL Porcellionides virgatus (our NATIVE ISOPOD)

    Acontista multicolor

Thank you :)  These are probably around the same size as A. japonica when they are 1st instar though I can't say for certain since I've never seen any Acromantis nymphs in real life

    Acontista multicolor

Had bunch of nymphs hatch out. They are currently feeding on D.melanogaster :)

    Heterochaeta orientalis

They might become available in few months ;)

    Heterochaeta orientalis

Yes, with 8 nymphs it'd be easy to get them breeding :) Apparently Michiganmantidguy has been keeping this species for multiple generations, and he recently had a hatch so hopefully they'll circle around in the hobby once again :) Hopefully they'll become available soon :)

    Some Reduviids

I'll be having a couple of species available within 2~3 months ;) Awesome! Looking forward to it :)

    Heterochaeta orientalis

IKR?  Me too! I especially like their length! It is undoubtedly the longest mantid I've seen in real life :)

    Heterochaeta orientalis

Bought 11 nymphs from a breeder as 6th instar nymphs. Unfortunately 3 came DOA (fortunately I got refund for the 3), but the remaining nymphs made it alive and are growing well. Most are subadults now and one of them recently molted to adult :)  Interestingly, it seems that I have 3 males and...

    Some Reduviids

Well....these guys get much bigger than our native species. Apparently Psytalla horrida is the largest species of assassin bug available in our hobby atm. You should try keeping some Platymeris as they are easy to care for, and live quite long! ;)   Thanks :) You should try keeping some too! ;)

    Breeding Rhombodera fusca IS AGGRAVATING

Didn't you get one of the females to connect with the male?
  14. B

    Pseudovates arizonae

Thank you :) Hopefully both of my females will mate and breed for me :)

    Pseudovates arizonae

Thank you :)   Thank you :)  My females molted this week! One ended up with deformed wings, but the other looks perfect

    [WB/T] Looking for Pseudocreobotra species

I'm looking for Pseudocreo nymphs (or adults) atm. Please PM me if you have them available within the US.  Am willing to trade them with an adult pair of Acontista multicolor if needed.

Anyone keep isopods (sowbugs, pillbugs, woodlice, roly-poly) as pets?

I keep several isopods atm, both native and introduced species. Been really getting into them lately :)

That's a bristly millipede, family Polyxenidae. As far as I know they are herbivores.
