    False bombardier beetle

Oh man I love these, I really wish we had these here in Idaho! You're gonna keep it, right? If you want to breed them you'll need mud in the enclosure, the females lay eggs in little mud cells that are attached to the undersides of smooth leaves. The larva of these look pretty freaking awesome...

    Darkling I.D Request for Hisserdude

Hmmm... this is a hard one. It's 100% an Eleodes species, but I'm having a hard time getting it down to species. Got any idea where it was collected? And would it be at all possible to get a brighter dorsal shot? I'm thinking it could be E.dentipes, or something similar.

    My New Polyphaga aegyptiaca

Yeah, several of the desert dwelling Corydiids can easily die from too much moisture, sorry you had to learn like that. :(  Hope the remaining individuals live, and hopefully you will be able to get more! :)

    My New Polyphaga aegyptiaca

Yeah, I'd give them a moist spot in the cage since they are so small, but the rest of the substrate should be bone dry. Sorry to hear so many of them died off. :(

    My Eurycotis lixa colony

Cool, neat how much of an appetite they have. :)

    My New Polyphaga aegyptiaca

Cool! That substrate looks pretty moist, these guys are supposed to be kept bone dry, you can soak one corner of the cage every other week but other than that they need to be kept really dry.

Anyone keep isopods (sowbugs, pillbugs, woodlice, roly-poly) as pets?

Wow, most people are quite fond of isopods, even the more squirmish individuals. :D Oh well, I'm sure they'll grow on her.

Anyone keep isopods (sowbugs, pillbugs, woodlice, roly-poly) as pets?

Nice Porcellionides! I have some myself, but I haven't been able to get any good pictures if them as of yet. I have two that are white, I am hoping I will able to isolate the morph. :)

Anyone keep isopods (sowbugs, pillbugs, woodlice, roly-poly) as pets?

They are all housed separately, and when new color forms pop up in my colonies I separate those as well. It's really cool how many new color forms have popped up in my colonies over the past few years, it makes keeping isopods even more fun! :) Yeah I'm using a Kindle fire, I may have to...
