They are nice but, what she ^ said, plus most mantis go to the very top which you can't see with that material all over as a lid, so if you move it to check on them during a molt it could spell disaster, fine screen mesh may be a better alternative. But hey your heart is in the right place. ;)

unfortunately, things are tough all over...someday the economy may improve, but I'm not going to hold my breath on that. On that note, only the rarer species are going to earn you much profit, even then it's not going to pay the rent/mortgage by any means.

I would agree with Jrh3 on that. As well as remove all the mantis from that enclosure and spray with 20-25% vinegar/water solution.
