    Any more cham keepers?

I did the same and had a pair from babies. Unfortunately, after breeding and hatching 3 clutches I failed them and I lost the babies. Then I lost my female to a prolapse. I am left with my male and an empty cage. I will get another chameleon to fill the empty cage when the right opportunity...

OOPSI POOPSI! I've lost my head!

I presently have only one adult female Sphodromantis viridis and HAD 7 males (down to 4 with this loss). I put them all in my empty chameleon cage to do what they do. All the guys are getting their turns and she's been getting really fat by eating the males she happens to snag. I went in this...

    Any more cham keepers?

I have a veiled that I haven't posted about recently, but I took a few photos today. He has grown up to be a fun, yet temperamental, beautiful boy. VERY territorial. lol

    Alligator lizards

I am only keeping them to observe for a while, they are not going to be sold, and I am going to release them. LONG LIVE THE ALLIGATOR LIZARD! It was just too easy a catch to pass up the opportunity to observe them.

    Alligator lizards

I guess they are considered southern alligator lizards. I am in southern California and have seen these all the time in my area. Growing up I just called them alligator lizards. I guess the scientific name is Elgaria multicarinata, but alligator lizard works for me. There will be no problem...

    Davedood

I received some wallies recently with a few extras included for good measure. They were packed well and most arrived safe. There were a couple lost due to molting in transit, but the extras more than made up for the losses. They are spunky little things and I look forward to raising wallies...

    Alligator lizards

I was picking up some fallen oranges under my orange tree when I noticed 4 eyes staring at me. It was a pair of alligator lizards that I thought were fighting because one was biting the other's neck, but they were not moving at all. I was able to grab them up in one hand with no problem. I...

Why do crickets need to be gut-loaded?

I don't think it's necessarily bad to feed hungry feeders, but just a case of being better if the feeders are fed well.

No longer do you have to choose between your dolls or mantises!

She's just darling, but too expensive. :( It looks like she's had some sort of cranial procedure.

    Something AMAZING has happened...

Congrats. Keep doing what you love and the accolades will follow. Bjork's a freak, but in a good way, and I love her music.

Looks like a couple of old maids or widows. Like most, they survive on vodka and bread. lol

What to do when you have too many mantises?

If native, let them go. Florida is warm, no? If exotic, place an ad in the classifieds and give them away for free and just charge for shipping. Easy peasy.
