    Carrot Controversy

I feed carrots to my feeder roaches and have never noticed anything problematic. Is it maybe the carrot/cricket combo? Maybe a difference between how carrot is processed in different insects? I have no idea.

Another exciting find in the wild (baby edition)!

When she reaches adult, put her outside in an enclosure and her calling may bring in an elusive male or 2. Good luck.

female laid a ooth with male on top

There is a difference between on and in. If there was no connection, definitely not. That's like asking if holding hands can get a girl pregnant.

    Euthanasia of unsold stock?

Liar liar, pants on fire. Tired of running a "mantid mill". I won't miss your incessant posts in the sale section, for sure. Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.

    Euthanasia of unsold stock?

Yet, "everything must go" and "leaving hobby forever". What happened to them? Probably "flipped" for a profit? Good luck and I have a sneaking suspicion we will be seeing more for sale posts in the future. :tt2: I didn't count, but just how many for sale posts were there during your 9...

    Euthanasia of unsold stock?

Sad to see that newly purchased mantids from Yen Saw will possibly be destroyed.

    Euthanasia of unsold stock?

Is is just me, or does anyone else find it counterproductive to the hobby to euthanize unsold mantids? If you truly respect the hobby and are really "leaving the hobby forever", offer them to people for shipping costs. Threats of euthanasia is not a way to drive sales.

    Addicted to vaseline

I have only electroformed copper, as silver is too expensive, Those are very pretty. Here are a couple I have made recently. Here is a REAL wasp nest that I made and put up on etsy. I had found it in my backyard, lacquered it, and painted with conductive paint. Then it went into the...

    water drops

Maybe she is collecting dew and it is accumulating for a sip of water? Does it occur all the time? If it is a "morning thing", I would guess dew if it is within the realm of possibility.

    Addicted to vaseline

Here are a couple of bracelets I recently completed. I have listed these for sale in my Etsy store, GlowBeadsAndBaubles, if anyone was looking for an original Christmas gift. This is a button and bead bracelet using copper wire with white uranium buttons with vaseline glass beads attached. I...

    ID on birds nest?

I don't water a lot. I have some plumeria cuttings in planters and when I see their leaves wilting and turning brown it's time to water. This is one of the original trees from when Downey was an orchard. My neighbor has a tree, too, but their oranges aren't nearly as sweet. I use their...

    ID on birds nest?

I was out enjoying our 84 degree Thanksgiving weather, doing a little watering, and was checking out my oranges and I found a birds nest. I took a picture from the front and the back. It has a tiny opening and is sac-like. I pulled the foliage away to take the photo and left it as is. Maybe...
