I've lost 3 so far when i bought them from deshawn a while ago from them eating each other. Although i've never had problems keeping them together at L5- adult, but i'd separate the males and females. Joe

Where can i buy regular sized house flies without catching them from outside?? i'm getting violin mantids this monday and i read that they need mostly flying insects so i need to know a different way besides catching wild fleis since they killed off most of my mantids :( . Joe

Hey, one of my L2 ghost mantids has just died and fallen to the ground. it seems perfectly normal. I also saw some black liquid coming out of its . does anyone have any clue on how it died? could it be too much humididty? all the other ghost mantids with it are fine except for this one. Joe

I got alot of mantids from him and they were in perfect condition :D . all survive and the acking was excelent!! :D . I really hope to do more buying or trading with him :D . Joe

usually mantids stop eating for a few day before they molt and they also usually stay in one spot. she is probably gonna molt. Joe

Same here, my chinese ooths hatched and i had a few escape but found them all hopefully. They are growing fast. Some r already a shade of green on the L2 molt :D Joe

Thats too bad. :( my last pair of desiccata ate full to bursting all the time and caused their subadult molt to be a failure for some reason. they just didn't molt and died standing there. What do wide abdomen mantids look like? can you show me a pic? Joe

hey, i caught one of these moths yesterday(I believe its calle Poplar Sphinx Moth) and it has laid about 10 small green grape like-eggs lastnight. and i'm just wondering, can Poplar Sphinx moths lay eggs without mating? and how do you incubate them? Also, what do they eat? Much thanks, Joe
