Anyone out there have a male they can spare...?

I've found two green females as well within a week of eachother. One of them just laid a huge ooth yesterday. I hope she's already mated. You could keep the one you found and feed her and collect her ooths to raise, and then release the hatchlings into the wild or raise them up.

I had this on one of my male creo's. Eventually it spread through his whole arm and he became handicapped on that arm and died soon after. If it gets worse I would amputate the arm personally.

Males have 8 segments. Females have 6. Eventually when they reach a certain stage(like L5 or L6) the difference is obvious. The female's abdomen will be round and fatter and the male's abdomen will be skinnier and pointed.

Depending on the extent of the damage, it may or may not be fatal. Can you post up a photograph of her? If she is fatally wounded, then many people decide to put their mantises in the freezer so they can go to sleep. Then you could bury her in the yard somewhere.
