Haha. I found one of these last year and my kids wanted to keep it. We kept it until it turned into a moth. It was really cool to watch. Strange but cool looking creature!!

    Bagworms?

Does anyone know if bagworms are bad to feed a Chinese mantid? My one evergreen is infested with them and they are actually killing the tree. They look like a grub and live inside a cocoon made from the evergreen. They look like they would be plump and juicy to eat and it would be nice to put...

Thanks for both comments! I am feeding mine 90% wild caught grasshoppers. Other 10% - annoying house flies I want to get rid of ;o) ...and an occasional moth.

I just finished reading through this too and am amazed. I love that you incorporated plants/flowers in each container. They look amazing!! Really nice work!!

    Show Your Enclosures

Here is my setup for my T. sinensis. He seems to like it! I use all real plants/flowers that I find outside. I change the vivarium around every couple weeks for something different.

A video of Ferdinand, male Tenodera sinensis, molting from L7 - adult

That's awesome you see yours molt. Mine has molted 5 times now and each time was at night when I was sleeping. I would wake up and see his exoskeleton stuck somewhere. Nice video!
