Ive heard of changes to the lobes preceding a molt. Ive not observed it though. Good luck with the abdomen. Not seen this either. Doesn't look right, though.- hysteresis

Rhombodera basalis throwing up often?
Dubia are the very best staple for a large mantis like Rhombodera sp. She looks presub - 8th instar. Here was one of mine at subadult (9th) ... was fed dubia and superworms by then because it took too many blue bottles to fill them up. Rhombodera basalis throwing up often?
Humidity at 50% - 60% is perfect. 77-79 is perfect for nymphs and adults. Hotter isn't good for shields. Stop the crickets altogether, feed more dubia, and see how it goes. I'd love to see more pics, plus something for scaling size. This mantis doesn't look like 6th instar. Kinda looks...- hysteresis

Idolomantis ooth help
Nah all good. :) Careful with subadult and adult idolomantis in mesh cages. DON'T spook them because the hooks on their feet can snag in the net, and get damaged if they thrash hard enough, I've not had that happen but i've been told that, and having seen idolo spazouts, I believe it.
