    Not only is the fly amount good. but the containers are by far the most re-usable i have gotten. some others cost as much, but after the first use, they melt when sanitized, or crack, or both. they are also very good about answering questions.

    Fruit fly culture inside mantis container

    i have put a culture in with the nymphs, with a small hole in the top. it seems to wrk fine, only problem is if the culture is mature, too many ff get out at the beginning. i tried a culture with round holes, and put a steel marble over the hole whenever the ff became too many fore the nymphs.

    go to edsflymeat.com (i found out via Deshawns site) talk to or e mail them and your questions will be answered. i started with 3 cultures, i now have 20 or so at a time. i was told the FF will mutate to flight if the tempuratures are above a certain level. mine are mutated to be able to fly also.

    Are they compatible? is it the first part of the scientific name that puts them in the same species? or is it the second name? they look the same, i have both and since there is an age split i can tell them apart. if they were the same age, i'm not sure i could.

    Hello all, this is my first post. can someone explain nymph vs L1, L2 L3 L4...? i am having a hard time telling how many times they have molted. do you keep a list of molts as you go? what if you lose track, how do you size them?
