    Sick Mantis

    I agree with Rick. Three days really isnt that long to leave a mantis when you make sure they are welll cared for before and after your trip. All you can really do if your mantids are sick or injured is take care of them the best you can.

    Mine did fine at room temp. All you really need is an enclosure of some kind, something in the bottom to hold moisture (wood chips are my fave) and something for them to climb on. (I use sticks wrapped with fake ivey.)

    I feed cicadas to all the female chinese mantids that I keep. Its a long slow death for the cicada but its a great meal for the mantis. I guess thats the circle of life for ya.
