Since you have someone providing water, I don't think it would be problem for 10 days if the specimen is healthy. Give it a generous feeding the day you leave and you should be all set. 👍

I noticed that! This is a pretty one. Since spiders are forbidden in my household I might have to settle. I'll just make sure when I print my labels that I omit the word spider. 😂

Welcome! 👋 I always keep mine around 50% humidity and 70-78° temp. As many as I've kept, I've never lost one. I think it's one of the easiest species to care for. I always found the females to make the best pets... they seem much less skittish. Here's a great caresheet if you haven't read it...

Pet store feeders can be a little iffy. They'll do in a bind, but personally I wouldn't make pet stores my main source of feeders. No offense to pet store owners, but you'll get better quality feeders from dealers here on the forum. 🙂

@Orin Thanks Orin! I'll definitely check out these species. I have my eye on some iron clad beetles as well. I get almost more enjoyment watching the beetles as I do mantids.😀
