    Results of Panama Vaca

(I'll edit this and add a few photos tomorrow) Only found two mantids, both Liturgusa spp. and both found on Bastimentos island. This trip was a vacation so I wasn't able to run off and search as often as I had liked. Here are the locations I visited: Fortuna Forest Reserve higher elevation...

    Color change

Here's my experience with flower mimics: Hymenopus and Pseudocreobotra on pink flowers with indoor lighting all ended up white. Outside during the summer months on pink flowers in the garden in natural light the majority turned pink-ish the next molt.

    Macromantis Hyalina

Mantids are typically measured 'crown to rump', meaning legs and antennae are left out. Never seen or heard of one over 11 cm, and haven't heard of anything more than individuals in captivity.

    Something AMAZING has happened...

Congratulations!! I must say I'm not surprised, your footage is breathtaking and beyond any quality I've seen on National Geographic, BBC, etc. You may be a humble guy but I doubt there's a person on this forum that doubted your skills and eye for the beauty of nature
