There was the reptile supershow in pamona just a few months ago. I went. It was hot, crowded, no mantises. Was a bust. Don't know about shows, been looking for something for a while now but I've come up empty. Maybe we could start our own california bug show :P

I have a ghost. She molted into an L3 on July 3rd and I believe she's close to her final molt; anytime now. Her wing buds are very swollen as well as her abdomen. So it will be almost exactly 3 months for her to go from L3 to L7 which is the final instar for ghosts. This is just my experience...

Anyone have an idea when an unmated H. Venosa might start laying her infertile ooths after reaching adulthood? Just want a time line so I can get her comfortable when she's ready.
