I am beyond scared im going to lose my last subadult to a bad molt.  I have lost 2 in the past 2 weeks.  I changed gripping surfaces to plastic screening instead of tulle, put tulle down the side of the enclosure, and hot glued the branched down.  I also misted and put her in a bigger enclosure...

I just received 6 mantids from Samantha! I ordered a sub adult female giant shield and golden heirodula.  We had also discussed an order from a different breeder that has still not been received 2 months later and added one of those nymphs.  She was also concerned with how the golden was acting...

They are relatively inexpensive to purchase (shipping is a bear tho, have you found somewhere that will ship for under $12?).  I like to get "crafty" here and there so I have made my own as well.  

Sure is!  You can also change the type of lid you have on your cups.  Screens are great for more arid species and you can put hot glue a  piece of coffee filter on to the lid opening to help hold in moisture.  

Hi!  It looks like you are able to release Chinese Mantids in Colorado, but they most likely will not survive the winter.  Based on this article, the European Mantis does well there:  https://extension.colostate.edu/docs/pubs/insect/05510.pdf.  I also recommend keeping a few, in separate cups...

Well, my newest order is supposed to arrive tomorrow.  Still no word on my original order from May.  The seller states that there is a 20% restocking fee/room and board fee that will be taken from your refund.  Will Paypal honor that policy or refund my whole amount?  Anyone know?
