You will surprised how long some mantids can go without food. Older nymphs, and adults can go pretty long in between feedings. Clearly your mantis is still far from starving. If your so worried? Maybe increase temps to speed up it's metabolism.

That mantis looks fine. You probably just fed it a load before hand.

You should add more perches for her to possibly grip better. She's not sick, but about to molt. Take out any feeders and leave her be. If she is stressed right before a molt. She will be restless and use up valuable energy and become weak. This is probably why she is having such a hard time...

Hard to tell from your pic, but i would say sub-adult male. Missing legs?

He is only three weeks as an adult. He should last a few months. I would say remate them as often as possible. Congrats! :)

I had a male Starburst years ago. He was so freaking nasty! If i looked at him wrong he would hiss at me! :lol:
