    Ooth parasites?

thanks guys for the replies. I originally had it in a net cage, it is now in a sealed plastic tub to prevent any other larvae that may travel out of the net cage. I guess i'ma just treat it as a lost cause :( how unfortunate, i was excited to have found a wild one

    Ooth parasites?

i found a wild limbata ooth about a month or 2 ago. I just realized tonight there has been some activity, like tiny skin molts on the floor, but what i notice crawling around are larvae-like and not mantids. not exactly sure what they are. Is there any chance in saving the ooth? or is it...

Is there a way to properly remove an ooth from a stucco wall?

my neighbor's house has a mantis ooth stuck on his stucco wall near his door. He wants it gone and instead of having them kill it, I was hoping I can remove it successfully but its really stuck.

    ANTS EVERYWHERE!

its getting colder here so ants tend to come in the house more looking for food and shelter. I just came into my room to notice Ants all over my mantis cages. My room is upstairs on the second floor, so i'm a bit surprised. luckily the ants haven't gotten to my mantids yet. they seem more...

    floppy abdomen?

that totally makes sense to keep it stiff. when i took my photo i already fed em like 4 or 5 green flies. geeze i wonder how much it would take to get truely plump to not be floppy lol

    Growth rate

im sure they adapt to whatever they're surroundings are, camouflage right? i have two Chinese from the same ooth; one is kept with a single branch while the second is kept with many twigs. i noticed the one with the twig forest turned very dark brown while the other stayed a tan.
