    roaches as food

    I wasn't sure whether or not to feed my mantis a roach i found but i did anyway. I figured it would be safe since i found it outside. It's been a few days a she's been fat but fine. I'm not sure what kind of roach it was. Probably American

    My female died yesterday. She was really weak hanging from the top of the cage so I put her down on the ground in case she fell. She just stayed there and never got up. =(

    Oh God. I've never had issues with bees until now. That sounds terrible. I'll stick to crickets in that case. Is there anything I can do for my mantis now tho?

    UNKOWN MALE MANTIS

    The male has some brown and red on its top two wings, yellow and black on the bottom. the females have both full yellow i believe.

    When exactly should I put my mantids together?

    I have two (I think) Stagmomantis Carolina and I'm wondering when I can mate them. Should I wait for the female to get pregnant? That's what I did with my last pair. They are both adults.

    yea i'm thinking it is, but ive never seen an adult male carolina before so i dont know for sure. it looks pretty big compared to my females tho and it has green on the sides of its wings like a chinese.

    I attached the photo. I can't tell what kind of mantis this is. It looks like a cross between a chinese and carolina mantid. Can someone help me? Sorry the photo isn't that clear. I used my webcam.
