    Wheel Bug Laid Eggs!

Nice, I hope you get a hatch too. Just the thought of a bunch of dangerous little anteater-alien-nymphs running around gives me pause (I'll pass on owning anything that has a bite like that), a hatch would be an epic photo opportunity.

Beginner enclosure- 3rd instar Ghost Mantis

That's a nice looking enclosure! Here are a few modifications I'd recommend: 1) Add a feeding port (if there isn't already one) to make it super easy to add feeders without disturbing the mantis. I generally prefer ports on the top of my habitats, as gravity makes everything easier. 2) Your...

Need HELP with my violin nymphs

Sorry to hear this. :( I'm having a very high success rate, my nymphs are all approaching adulthood, but I'm keeping them warmer than my other mantids. Their average netcube temps is around ~80F (70-90F is the range they experience between day/night), perhaps your temps are cooler?

How to escape the death grip.

Agreed, a skewer is a handy tool when handling mantids. Do you feed them well before handling them? I don't handle my mantids more than once or twice a week but I feed them well before I do. I've never had one go after a finger yet.

How to Add Pictures to Posts

Exactly. And to explain the exact reason why your first try didn't work. Your link wasn't the full URL, it included a "..." where it should have indicated a folder. #1 is what you tried, #2 is what it needs to be: 1. http://i1089.photobu...mm/100_0077.jpg 2...

Figured I should at least say hi

Thanks for the tips, I'll try to visit all 3 zoos in this area soon. I'm surprised that I've been to Pike Place market so many times but have never seen the bug zoo there.
