    Save your momney and buy the larger deli cups, they aren't as sexy but I've found mold gorws way to easily in these taller less air flowing type of housing setups. I don't even use any of min except the largest one for my Ghosts. my .02 worth... Lee

    I know this may be a taboo topic but are there any good reference materials for proper pinning of mantis? I too would like to preserve any specimens that die at the end of their life cycle. Very nice job btw... Lee

    Thanks Rick, I guess that is what threw me off, she never stopped feeding (hence the reason I had left a fly in with her) and would grab a flie or three every day. I'll see what happens and report back when/if she survives and molts out ok...

    It appeared like she was about to (the side of her abdomen got a little more gray or cloudy) and then it cleared up…I guess that is the process, correct? Is there any chance of this injury getting better in the final molt or does that typically apply only to damaged appendages? Thanks

    I currently have 5 Ghosts...they are all L2 and appear reddish-brown. Can or will they change color during the various molts and possibly appear different as adults or once their color is set are they destined to remain the same? Lee

    Ghost Mantis - my 1st molt!

    Thanks for the added tips and info Yen, you described the size varience perfectly. I simply had 2 of the 6 that were very small and had yet to molt and when I compared them to a larger one that had molted it appeared 3-4 times larger then them. I'll keep observing and learning...thank you...
