    I'm raising mantids again

    i was lucky enough to get some Idolomantis and Ghost mantids from yen before he retired. :D I really hope I can raise them to adulthood. I started with 4 idolomantis and 4 ghost mantis. Now I have 3 idolo and 2 ghosts. Here they are so far.

    Question about female Orchid stages

    threat pose question

    What causes a mantis to go into threat pose? I've had two adult mantises so far (California and Perviuan) and I never see them go into a threat pose. Is there any way I can excite them into doing this?

    I let my mantis loose for a little bit to feed today
