They are pretty canabalistic. Friends and I have kept them together until they molted to L5, but we had alot of casualties. L4 is probably the latest to go without seperating.

If the mosquitos are small enough then it should be fine. I've noticed that my mantids haven't been too into the mosquitos though. They prefer fruit flys and the more accepted types of food, I guess thats why people use them lol.

The little guy looks like a Chinese at L3 or L4. I have two like that right now. Love the shield too. I really would love to get one

You could try micro crickets. I've seen some places that sell super tiny ones that are larger than fruit flies but would probably be small enough for nymphs. I've never tried them as I've always been able to get fruit flies

Thanks guys. Sorta new at mantids so I'm grateful for the advice. I might put a few of the flies in another container and try the cricket food with them. I'll be sure to post up here with what I find.
