When my daughter first rescued Geeka the hubby was not to thrilled about another mouth to feed and care for. A week has passed and now I hear " Good morning Geeka. does Geeka want some banana? Oh honey look at Geeka eat his banana." do you have a house member that was not thrille by your mantis...

there were other pics of it. she just did a scared pose for fun. kinda like a monster alien movie pose. But they enjoyed chilling with this little guy. the mantis is on the arm of the drummer.

I do animal rescue. afte being bitten by snakes, lizards, rats and mice...the mantis bite did not cause a reaction. just a "'once you are done there better be a finger still there or you are screwed. becuase that is momma's tigger finger."

well have had Geeka for about a week. He is eating very well. adjusting to his home. even had him perch on my finger and i think he just realizes I am trying to care for him. kids are intrigued by him.

Thanks for the info. any suggestions for live plants? I like using live plants. It seems to add a little something to a tank.

I guess I should move him into the smaller critter keeper ( well it is large compared to some) becuase he does look a bit lost. kinda like a male betta in big tanks.

part of the reason i put him in the tank so he could have space to fly around.

I have reptiles and I always go for the bin and not the box so I can have all live ones. I bring them home in my clean bin and feed them fresh veggies, some cheerios, and spray some water. I also do a cotton ball with water. give them some time to gut load and they should be good.

I have a few small enclosures too. but he is like two and half inches.
