Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii, L4 -- after the molt

Here's the wahlbergii nymph once more ... it molted this morning and I got some shots of it before it turned dark again.

    Orchid pair

Given his diminutive size even for an Orchid I was shocked when my male matured middle of last week!  I'd been power-feeding him and trying to slow the female, thinking he'd be several instars behind her.  Then late Saturday night I saw that she was in the middle of her maturing molt too! ...

    WTB P. wahlbergii male(s)

My female kept turning in aggression at the male whenever he'd approach, and he died fairly quickly. Possibly she sensed that he was not a suitable dad. Anybody have one or two mature males available? I'm in the US. Thanks!

    Decimiana bolivari nymphs, L1

The ooth from Precarious took nearly a week to get here shipped Priority mail, and I doubted that they'd survive. A week later I found them crawling all over the cup! :)

    Idolomantis diabolica, L6 male

Too bad that female Idolo which I posted last time is from a hatch older than this L6 male, if they were the other way around I might have had a chance at pairing them! This is a crop from the last image, in blue light ...

    My new Amblypygids

This is one of my Heterophrynus batesii nymphs, which I just received a few days ago. Native to the Amazon, the forelegs (longer than the others, structured and functioning much like antennae) typically reach about a two-foot span, so in terms of legspan these are the world's largest arachnids...

Looking for Hymenopus coronatus subadult/adult males and females

What I'd hoped had been a successful pairing early in the summer failed to produce fertile ooths, but I very much wish to have another go at it! 1080p 60fps

Hestiasula major, Giant boxer mantis L3

These don't look very different from the L1s I posted last time, though they are quite a bit larger.
